Prices

Fixed prices agreed before any work starts. No hourly surprises.

  1. One-page website

    from £300

One clear page with who you are, what you do and how to reach you. Works on phones, and I'll help with the domain and hosting.

  2. Small multi-page website

    from £600

Up to five pages, such as services, events or news. Easy for you to update, with basic search engine set-up.

  3. Fixes and updates

    from £50

WordPress and Shopify problems, broken layouts, forms or plugins, and speed and security tidy-ups.

  4. Small web apps

    priced per job

Booking forms, simple tools and small databases. Scoped and priced before any work starts.

I take on a small number of jobs alongside a full-time role, so I'll always give you a realistic finish date before we start.

Example work

Five recent projects: one for my church, four I built and use myself.

Men Together

A welcoming one-page site for the men's fellowship at St James the Apostle, Selby. It explains what the group is, who it's for and how to join, and works well on a phone.

Brew Journal home screen showing a New brew button and the last brew, Finca El Puente on a V60, with its ratio, time and grind setting.

Brew Journal

A phone app for logging coffee brews that installs from the browser and works offline. It keeps everything on the device and suggests what to change next time, showing how a small business could offer a simple app without app store fees.

Hide It practice screen for Proverbs 3:5-6 at step 2 of 5, showing only the first letter of each word with a large red initial T.

Hide It

A small app for learning Bible verses by heart, built for me and my boys. It fades the words out step by step, then schedules each verse for review just before you would forget it. Private, offline, no account.

Daily house brief report with a map of Selby and nearby villages and a sortable table of homes showing price, bedrooms, distance to church and condition. Sample data.

Daily house brief

Turns property alert emails into a short daily summary and a report you can filter, with a map, area details, distance to church and likely costs. The same approach can turn any pile of routine emails into one clear daily update.

Terminal-style illustration: a request to dim a reading lamp to 30 percent becomes a set_light tool call, and a request for an evening scene becomes recall_scene. Example data.

Hue lights for AI assistants

Talk to your lights through an AI assistant. A small server using the Model Context Protocol lets an assistant list your Philips Hue lights, rooms and scenes and change them when you ask in plain English. Keys stay on your own machine.

About

I'm a software engineer living in Selby with my wife and our boys. By day I build software professionally. For a few hours each week I help local organisations get a website that works and is easy to look after.

I keep things honest and simple: a clear price, plain English, and a site you can run without calling me every week.

Based in
Selby, North Yorkshire. Happy to work remotely.
Time
A few hours each week, so a small number of jobs at once.
